A brand of yoghurt pouches is being recalled as the product could contain pieces of plastic.

The Collective brand Suckies Strawberry Probiotic Yoghurt Pouches, sold in a four-pack with a best-before date of 30 April are being recalled.

The 4x100g pouches were sold at supermarkets and other grocery retailers. Affected product had a batch marking of 32280 T2 or 32280 T3.

Food Safety Authority deputy director-general Vincent Arbuckle said no one should eat the yoghurt, and it needed to be thrown out or returned for a refund.

Arbuckle said the issue came to light after consumers complained the nozzle had broken and pieces of plastic were in the yoghurt.

No injuries had been reported.

The Collective is a brand produced by Epicurean Dairy Ltd.
