Police have revealed the name of the man who was found dead in a burnt-out vehicle in Hastings.
He was 49-year-old Patrick Teteni Rewiti of Napier.
His body was found by emergency services on Irongate Road in Flaxmere on 26 March.
A 30-year-old Hastings man has been charged with his murder.
He had his second appearance in the Napier High Court on Friday.
Police say they are still investigating the death.
At the time of the man's arrest on Good Friday, Detective Inspector Martin James there remained several unanswered questions surrounding Rewiti's death.
